I love bastok but...

There's a lot to be thankful for, being a Bastoker. Beautiful weather, kind and gentle townsfolk, a wise and likeable president, always coming in first in conquest... (hush! It's good to hope y'no...)
One of the things that absolutely drives me crazy though is the darn Bastokan flag. I mean, of all the wonders and marvels associated with this great state, they could have found a way to immortalize something else on what would be displayed on every building and piece of hardware the country controls.
Take a look at the Sandy flag.
Bold, fierce, and regal, you're reminded of the firey elvaan fighting spirit, the majesty of the kingdom, the long history of gallantry and victory, not only snotty-nosed big-headed buffoons with just a little more brains than a Plasma clot.

See the Windy flag.
You can see the prominent Star tree, and you're reminded of the age of magic and wonder, and little pint-sized cinnabuns running around.

Then there's the Bastok flag. I mean... c'mon... of all the technocological advancement. Of all the brilliance and industry and innovation. Was there something that better represents the greatest (stop laughing) nation in all of Vana'diel??!! We could have had a mighty cannon, an airship, a great waterwheel, a burning furnace, but no... we have:

No, we have something that reminds people of how fragile, weak, and lemming-like, we are. See for yourself...
